About Kelsey

This will be my 6th year teaching at AKCS. I graduated from New Mexico Highlands with a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in history. I also had a volleyball scholarship and played as a middle blocker. Last year I graduated with my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Reading. I love the philosophy and project based learning that happens at AKCS. I also enjoy the multi-age classroom because it is amazing to see students grow and learn. I truly love teaching and strive everyday to meet the individual needs of all my students. I also continue to play and coach volleyball. On many weekends, you would find me playing sand doubles! My other passion is traveling. This is a picture of me in Ireland from one of my trips. I have also traveled to Australia, Egypt, Costa Rica, Italy, and Peru. This summer I traveled to Russia! Ms. Jordan: She is a graduate of Moriarty High School. She is now a senior at the University of New Mexico. This is her last semester of student teaching at Alice King Community School. She is also was a part of the UNM Volleyball team and now she still plays for fun. She is very excited to work in Ms. Kelsey's room and is looking forward to a great year!!
