About Kelsey Anderson

This will be my 10th year teaching at AKCS. I graduated from New Mexico Highlands with a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in history. I have a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Reading. I also had a volleyball scholarship and played as a middle blocker. I love the philosophy and project based learning that happens at AKCS. I also enjoy the multi-age classroom because it is amazing to see students grow and learn for 2 years. I truly love teaching and strive everyday to meet the individual needs of all my students. I also continue to play and coach volleyball. On many weekends, you will find me playing sand doubles! My other passion is traveling. This is a picture of me in Capri,Italy. I have also traveled to Australia, Egypt, Costa Rica, Italy, Russia, Tanzania, and Peru! I have 2 great EA's this year! Mrs. Jen Perez: This will be her 4th year as an EA at AKCS. Prior to that she stayed home to raise her 2 beautiful girls. Her daughters are also students here and she feels blessed to be part of this amazing community for a total of 7 years. She also enjoys traveling with my friends and family.
